Speed Skating: Kato wins 4th national 500-meter title

NAGANO, Japan - Joji Kato (C) won the 500-meter title in 1 minute, 10.23 seconds at the speed skating national single-distance championships on Oct 27, his fourth 500-meter crown and his first in two years. Defending champion Keiichiro Nagashima (L) was second in 1:10.74 and Yuya Oikawa (R) third in 1:10.98.
